The new Whitney Applied Technology Center, the first project at OCC in over thirty years, creates a new front door to the college campus and showcases the Center’s dynamic programs. The 190,000 square foot facility houses the college’s technological, business, and industry clusters, and includes a wide variety of research laboratories and classrooms. An important design goal was to foster an environment in which ideas are shared among disciplines. The building features distance learning classrooms, television and radio production spaces, a computer-integrated manufacturing laboratory, a state-of-the-art multimedia 100-seat lecture hall, and a photography studio/digital imaging lab.
