New Science Building
Keene State College
Keene, New Hampshire

The New Science Building at Keene State College called for a complete renovation of the functionally obsolescent original 1960’s-era building and a 37,940 square foot addition.  The new addition includes state-of-the-art labs for biology and chemistry along with specialty NMR and X-ray fluorescence spectrometer facilities.  Although not processed through the LEED program, use of low flow fume hoods, passive solar sun shades and improvements to the existing building, successfully maximized energy efficiency without excess expense.
