Mitchell Giurgola is happy to announce that our façade replacement and lobby renovation project at LaGuardia Community College has been honored with an Award of Citation by the 2022 AIA New York State Design Awards. The goal of this project was to design a new exterior that respected the long history of terracotta use on the façade, while incorporating contemporary technology in the form of a unitized curtainwall system. The result is a high-performance sustainable façade designed to last another 100 years.
