Working with a local German architect, MG designed an American Elementary and Middle School Complex in Bavaria for the Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS) and the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). The complex is home for 1,500 students of military personnel. The program consists of administrative, general education, special purpose, technology, and common spaces totaling approximately 200,000 GSF. Both schools have their own gymnasia, information/media centers and technology centers, and share the multipurpose room, which includes the auditorium and cafeteria.

The gently rising green roofs were designed to complement the steep slope of the 17-acre site. The large site offers spectacular northern views of gently rolling hills and verdant countryside.
